What if yor parents passed away and we cannot find the title to the property. We know that my parents were paying the taxes to the property. How can we sell this property. We know that my mom’s parents own the property when she was young and when her parents passed away her brother and sister ( older) sold the property. After several years the person who bought the property offered to sell the property to my parents. Which they purchased.

Thank you for your question. The fact that your parents were paying property taxes could be very helpful. At the CRIM (property tax collection agency) the records would include your parents social security number which you may search and identify any property related to this number. Once you know the location of the property, you may peform a search at the Property Registry Office where the property is located at.

      I hope this was helpful.
