We have a judgment against an individual from the small claims division of the Boston Municipal Court. This court issued a Capias (civil arrest warrant) but because the defendant moved out of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts to Puerto Rico, we have no way of serving her, let alone are unsure that the court here has jurisdiction over her.

Is there any sort of mechanism for a supplemental process in Luquillo, PR? or WOuld we have to file a complaint from the beginning.

Do you have a sample copy of the DEBT COLLECTION document in the original Spanish or a template document that can be used to present a case of debt collection to the court?

I looked at http://www.tribunalpr.org/ but they did not post the document that you mentioned in you blog.

Would you please forward me a copy if you have it

Thank you

Dear Wanda:

Mainly, I recomend that you or anyone in your situation actively follows through with the person you have engaged to handled the process. I do not know how long is "too long" but it is a matter of attitude, both on those interested in having the situation resolved and the person in charge of handoing it.

So get on the phone and d the following: (1) get the facts on where the matter is; (2) get the steps needed for completion; and (3) get a good estimate of time.

If any of these do not make sense, then you know you have a problem that needs additional consulting. It is a matter of common sense.

Please write orcall us if you need more information.

Best regards,

Santiago F. Lampón

To whom it may concern

The reason for this letter is to find out why it takes so long to get paperwork ready from an inheritance about property. I am one of the so many who are waiting for the okay on the land. All of us are willing to sell the land but for some reason there's always some kind of obsticle but not quite sure if it's from attorneys or from the person we left in charge of this. Need more investigation due to all of us getting tired of the wait. Unfortunatelly most of us live in the states. I'm from the Lopez family we have inherited approximately 52 acres but some of it is owed to certain individuals that have purchased some of it and have not received title of such property. Any suggestions?? Please feel free to contact me @ 904-451-3307. Thank you.

I saw http://www.viequeslaw.com/ and wanted to mention a useful site: http://www.FreePatentsOnline.com

It provides free patent searching, free PDF downloading, allows annoting documents and sharing them, and free alerts for new documents.

If you have a spot, a link to let your users know abou the site would be great.
